The procedure is commonly used to fill in sparse or uneven eyebrows or simply to create more prominent eyebrows. Similar to a tattoo process, pigment is applied to the upper dermis of the skin, but because it is not applied as deeply, the dye will fade over time and the eyebrows will return to their original state.
Another notable difference is that the dye used for microblading is natural and is safe and gentle on the skin. The effects of microblading can last from 1 to 2 years, with clients typically retouching on an annual basis.
