Comfortable, lasting, and finer with every session.
As the laser targets each hair, the sensation feels like quick rubber-band snaps. Any discomfort is reduced with cooling gels or a topical anesthetic. Some irritation or itchiness afterward fades within minutes to a couple of hours.
You'll see immediate results after your first session. Some hair may grow back, but it returns slower and finer each time. Because diode laser treatment targets actively growing hair, multiple sessions about a month apart are usually needed to reach the final result.
The Process
How a session goes.
Prior to treatment, hair is trimmed to a shorter length if needed and a cooling gel is applied to the treatment area.
A hand-held diode laser device is then pressed to the skin, allowing pulsed red light to heat the hair down to the follicle. This causes the hair to eventually detach from the follicle and prevents regrowth.
Sessions are quick. Cooling gel or topical anesthetic keeps the experience comfortable, and most clients return to normal activity right after.

What to expect
Before Treatment
Prep the skin.
- Avoid makeup and lotions the day of treatment.
- Discontinue topical or oral prescriptions that cause skin sensitivity 2–4 weeks before treatment.
- Avoid direct sunlight at least 3 weeks before and after to prevent hyperpigmentation.
- No waxing or tweezing for at least 3 weeks prior. Shaving is fine a couple of days before.
After Treatment
Be gentle for a couple of days.
Avoid exfoliation, shaving, and friction from clothing during exercise for a couple of days after treatment. Continue using sun protection and stay out of direct sunlight.
